In normal weather the suction is good. But on very hot summer days in Rajasthan the suction weakened as the car body heated up. The camera did not fall but I was not comfortable leaving it unattended. Might be a material limitation in extreme heat.

The suction works well but the cup base needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain strong grip. If you let dust or dirt accumulate on the cup it loses suction quickly. If you are diligent about cleaning it works very well. Just an extra step in the process.
